IDEAL Electrical Appoints Matt Barrett Central Region Manager

SYCAMORE, IL, January 10, 2014 – IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC., one of the world's largest manufacturers and suppliers of quality tools, connectors and testing products for electricians and data communications contractors, announced today that Matt Barrett, a veteran electrical industry sales executive, has been promoted from National Account Manager to Central Region Manager. He will report directly to Terry Stevens, the company's Vice President of Sales for its North American Electrical Division.

"Matt's experience at IDEAL as a National Account Manager as well as his prior management experience at both Panduit and IBM give him the skills needed to lead the Central Region into the future," said Stevens.  "As our industry landscape changes in the future,  Matt clearly understands what is needed to meet the market needs we face and I am confident he will be successful meeting this new challenge.

"During his tenure as National Account Manager for IDEAL, Barrett devoted his efforts to providing sales and technical assistance for several of the company's top distributors. In his new position, Barrett will lead the IDEAL Central Region field sales team in its pursuit of aggressive market share growth, while ensuring the highest quality customer service and support for its extensive network of electrical distributors. This role is critical to the success of the company's strategic focus to grow sales in the recovering residential, commercial and industrial construction markets.

Barrett earned a BS in marketing from Northern Illinois University and an MBA at Cardinal Stritch University.
